What this service is

Structured Settlement Compare is an independent reference publishing a record of what US statutes require before structured settlement payment rights can be transferred, and an introduction service to buyers. What it prints is what those statutes say, reproduced exactly, attributed and dated. It is not a lawyer, a financial adviser or a buyer, and it has no relationship with any court or state agency.

How we are paid

No buyer can pay us to be named on this site, to be linked from it, or to be placed above anyone else: there is no sponsored slot on any page and this site carries no buyer catalogue. A buyer who receives an enquiry pays a flat fee for the enquiry itself, never a share of the discount it takes and never anything contingent on a transfer completing, and no quotation, absence or ordering on this site depends on who pays.

Using the transfer-law record

The record may be reused freely so long as it is credited. Cite the jurisdiction, the statute, the date printed beside the cell, and a link to the page you took it from; reproduce the statute's sentence rather than our arrangement of the matrix.

No warranty

Every quotation is taken from an official page on the date shown, and legislatures amend statutes. A statute is also not the whole of the law: it does not tell you how a particular judge will apply the best-interest test to your facts. Read the linked source and take advice before acting. The service is provided as is, without warranty; nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice.
